The Swiss stone pine tree, also known as the "Queen of the Alps", only grows above 1,600 meters above sea level. The tree species is rather rare and can live up to 800 years, and is also known for being very hardy.
The Swiss stone pine produces many resins from which the essential oils can be extracted and provide the pleasant fragrance.
